An overview of the Oxford Camp experience in May 2024.
English camp with Oxford's professors in Oxford Univ.

On May 6, 2024, we embarked on an exciting two-week journey to Heathrow Airport in the UK.
The camp, run by Balliol College Voices from Oxford, is situated in the UK.
The camp is managed by Oxford professors and St. Clare's teachers.
Two supportive teachers accompanied us from departure until our return.

Upon arriving in the UK, we proceeded to our accommodation.
Our home for the next two weeks will be St. Clare's.
Each dormitory room housed two people and featured a simple kitchen and bathroom.
The beautiful building and lovely gardens heightened my anticipation for the upcoming itinerary.

A local teacher guided us through the dormitory and provided instructions.
The clean bathrooms and facilities were quite impressive.

The St. Clare's restaurant offers a daily buffet.
Before departure, the camp surveys for allergies and dietary restrictions,
and reflects them in the provision of meals.
which are considered in meal planning.
It's wonderful to have the freedom to eat whatever you like.

The menu varies daily, featuring a range of meats, vegetables, and fruits.

We start our day with a relaxed meal overlooking the cozy garden.

Occasionally, we enjoy our meals outdoors together.

Daily English classes are held every morning and afternoon.
St. Clare's, a leading institution for training English teachers,
facilitates in-depth English discussions among teachers and students.

Camp participants also have the opportunity to attend lectures by Oxford University professors,
including Nobel Prize nominee Professor Dennis Noble.

We had the honor of receiving signed books from the esteemed Professor Noble.

We took a group photo in front of Oxford University's iconic library.

Safety on such a beautiful campus is a significant advantage.

Besides English classes and lectures, we participated in outdoor activities like
traditional dance classes and visits to the British Museum.
Playing futsal with Oxford students was an exhilarating experience.

Our two-week schedule concluded with a formal party that everyone enjoyed before saying their goodbyes.
Though parting was sad, we promised to reunite in the near future.
We eagerly anticipate community events in Taiwan, where we'll meet new friends joining future camps.
